Exactly how often do you find yourself whisking through the house with your satin robe billowing behind? You sweep up the stairs as you go. It caresses the backside of your legs as you pause at the refrigerator, thirsting. Your eyes scanning for items you know aren’t there.
Does this happen to you? No. So I’m the only one billowing, then?
Alright, well, this drink is for you either way. It’s a people pleaser. It’s the Slinky Drinky. We’ve had a lot of cause for celebration around here between both of our birthdays and those sporadic afternoons of warm weather. We look forward to having some warm days in a row soon. And especially as the summer approaches, we needed a cold beverage to sip and so, the Slinky was born. Poured, really. While our version includes coconut vodka, it could easily be made without, substituting coconut milk instead. Usually with drinks like this I don’t add any alcohol to the juice, but on a drink by drink basis.
Take your lime juice
You’ll need 6 limes. 1 minneola. 1/4 cup sugar. 1 tsp sweetened lime juice. Juice limes and orange, then add lime juice and sugar. Stir to combine fully.
Make it Slinky
For the cocktail, just add 2 parts lime juice and 1 part coconut vodka and ice. Garnish with lime slice.
